Survey on Short-Term Rentals
doesn't allow STR's. We will eventually move and sell our home which I'm sure will be the
county's newest STIR.
281 Please make more rules and restrictions 2/4/2025 1:42 PM
282 Need serious restrictions 2/4/2025 1:39 PM
283 Please bring peace back to my neighborhood and open spaces 2/4/2025 1:38 PM
284 There are a lot of 2/4/2025 1:37 PM
naysayers to short term rentals and they tend to suck up a lot of the oxygen of the room and
of council members. There is not shortage of land nor building permits in our county and so
short term rentals is not causing a problem, if anything it is bringing growth and new jobs and a
vibrant economy and mix of businesses to the area. For example gemini fishmonger is
absolutely amazing and such an asset to Cle elum.
285 The County and each City should adopt permitted STIR regulations 2/4/2025 1:34 PM
and require inspections on an annual basis in order to obtain and renew their permit. HOA's and
other areas with covenants and or By-laws should take steps to establish their rules that may
exceed the County and/or City permit requirements if needed.
286 2/4/2025 1:22 PM
I think STIR, if regulated, can be an asset and
help put the area on the map for the many outdoor activities and help diversify the local
economy. I know that in dense residential areas where there is high tourism, STRs can be a
source of strife. Renters are on vacation and may be noisy late at night for example. But they
can also enhance business in the town. If the area is promoted right and attracts outdoor rec
types, they are often out all day and less disruptive. I wouldn't think most dense city center
neighborhoods would really be where renters would want to stay anyway in our area. But I do
support regulation to ensure community goals are maintained and local housing is not curtailed
by too many STRs
287 Its none of the Counties business, other than collecting taxes, 2/4/2025 1:13 PM
This communist agenda pushed by Gina Pecckman is an infringement on property rights and
will be met with legal action.
288 1 think they are a 2/4/2025 1:10 PM
huge benefit and could offer addition streams of income for locals including cleaning, airbnb
ownership, in-house chef, etc. The town is going to continue to grow whether we like it or not,
might as well let it grow in a way that benefits the community as a whole.
289 Limiting str or increasing fees will cause people to 2/4/2025 1:02 PM
sell which in turn will cause prices to fall and tourism to decline. Chelan is the perfect example.
Their economy suffered greatly and businesses went under.
290 This is a bad idea. You are just looking for money revenue 2/4/2025 1:00 PM
and not considering the violation to private property rights
291 This county has enough restrictions on what homeowners can do with their property. 2/4/2025 12:58 PM
Stop taxing residents out of Kittitas county.
292 Don't allow it. It's turns residential neighborhoods into tourist 2/4/2025 12:58 PM
destinations.
293 No 2/4/2025 12:53 PM
294 The county needs to 2/4/2025 12:53 PM
help the HOAs and small community with rules that can be inforced. It is affecting the
stranded of live for the full time residents, so that rental company's and second home owner
can make money. Not fair to us as residents. There are so many that are done under tha table
, how is that fair to the Hotel/ Motels that pay taxes and have to jump through loop meet
certain standers and rules.
295 Do not allow them 2/4/2025 12:49 PM
296 1 run a bed and breakfast, not an Airbnb, but an actual bed and breakfast, 2/4/2025 12:35 PM
but according to your survey, this is still a short-term rental. I don't really feel that you have
accurately put these questions together for an objective purpose
297 Promotes more coastie a-holes to move here 2/4/2025 12:33 PM
81 /87
