KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> PUBLIC WORKS—BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br /> STUDY SESSION DATE: February 24,2025 <br /> TOPIC: Road Levy Certification <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Chair <br /> Signature on the Digital Submittal Certification of the Road <br /> Levy Certification to the County Road Administration Board <br /> LEAD STAFF: <br /> Cameron Curtis <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Chair Signature on the Digital Submittal <br /> Certification of the Road Levy Certification to the County Road Administration Board. <br /> BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br /> • WAC 136-150 requires Counties to annually certify the road levy and to report <br /> the amount budgeted for traffic law enforcement. <br /> • The report is submitted to the County Road Administration Board(CRAB) <br /> through their online portal CARS. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Kittitas County Department of Public Works is required (WAC 136-150)on an annual <br /> basis to submit a certification of the road levy fixed and the amount, if any, budgeted for <br /> traffic law enforcement to the County Road Administration Board(CRAB). This <br /> certification is a report required by CRAB that includes information regarding the road <br /> levy, diversion, estimated revenue and bank capacity(Exhibit 1). <br /> CRAB utilizes an electronic submittal process for the Digital Submittal Certification. In <br /> place of submitting paper documents the Digital Signature Certification is signed and <br /> submitted electronically through CARS.
