Members are required to comply with the Kittitas County Boards, Committees, and Commissions Handbook KITTITAS COUNTY DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ADVISORY COMMITTEE (DDAC) BYLAWS PURPOSE OF ADVISORY BOARD According to Revised Code of Washington 71A.14.050, the board may serve as an information and referral agency within the community, coordinate services to insure maximum utilization of available services, and prepare comprehensive plans for future developmental services of local services to persons with developmental disabilities. Duties A. Serve as an informational and referral agency within the community for persons with developmental disabilities and their families (RCW 71A.14.050) B. Advise the BOCC on coordinating local services for persons with developmental disabilities and their families to insure the maximum utilization of all services (RCW 71A.14.050) C. Prepare comprehensive plans for present and future development of services and for reasonable progress toward the coordination of all local services to persons with developmental disabilities (RCW 71A.14.050) 1. Collaborate with the Kittitas County Developmental Disabilities Coordinator on the development, communication, and presentation of the county comprehensive plan for the County DD Services (required by WAC 388-850- 020). 2. Review and assess community and consumer needs, services, resources, priorities, facilities, and special problems related to developmental disabilities in Kittitas County. 3. Establish priorities based on this assessment and recommend the allocation of available county and state funds in alignment with the plan. D. Review the Committee' s bylaws annually at the beginning of each calendar year. E. Maintain confidentiality of information (RCW 71A.14.070). F. Participate in board training as needed designed to provide, improve, or enhance program-related skills of board and advisory committee members (DDA contract with Kittitas County 8.2.a.ii and 1.c.2).
