,.. ATTACHMENT "A"
Screening: Screening should be a minimum of 6 feet and maximum of 12 feet high and should be
of a height at least 6 inches above the materials or equipment being screened. A combination of
screening elements are recommended, including solid masonry walls, berms, and landscaping.
Chain link fencing with appropriate slatting is an acceptable screening material for areas of any
lot visible from interior roads.
Utilities: All permanent utilities shall be underground.
Streets: Streets should be 28 feet to 32 feet wide from back of curb to back of curb. Curbs are
recommended. A 50-foot curb radius is recommended at street comers, with a 25-foot curb radius
at driveways.
Pavement can be either concrete or asphaltic concrete and should be designed for heavy
truckloads. Due to the nature of this park, sidewalks are not recommended.
Buildings: All buildings must comply with applicable State, County and City codes. It is
recommended that building facades along Airport Road and Bowers Road avoid prefabricated
metal or plain aluminum siding.
Sign Standards: All signs must comply with article 17.72 of the Kittitas County Zoning code.
The design standards for the Kittitas County Airport IndustrialBusiness Park have been kept
simple and permissive, but with an overall intent of encouraging good site design and a "good
neighbor" policy as it relates to the visual impact of one project upon another. This is generally
consistent with typical industrial park standards in Eastern Washington, but if it errs, it errs on
fewer rather than more stringent standards.
