KITTITAS COUNTY <br />EC STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Special Meeting <br />MONDAY 10:00 AM Janua 6, 2025 <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />Brett Wachsmith <br />Others: Kady Porterfield (Event Center Director), Bob Eddings (Fair Board President), Chris <br />Horner (Prosecutors Office) <br />1. Call to Order: Meeting called to order by Chairman Osiadacz at 10:00am. <br />2. Citizen Comments (1 min. time limit): none <br />3. Executive Session RCW 42.30.110 (i) To discuss with legal counsel representing the <br />agency matters relating to agency enforcement actions, or to discuss with legal counsel <br />representing the agency litigation or potential litigation to which the agency, the governing <br />body, or a member acting in an official capacity is, or is likely to become, a party, when <br />public knowledge regarding the discussion is likely to result in an adverse legal or financial <br />consequence to the agency. At 10:0lam Chairman Laura Osiadacz announced the board would <br />enter executive session for 5 minutes (Eddings exits meeting), no action is expected. At 10:06am <br />the board exited the executive session; no action taken. Horner exits the meeting, Eddings rejoins <br />the meeting. <br />4. Request to Approve the Ellensburg Rodeo 2025-2034 Facilities Lease Agreement: <br />Porterfield pointed out the changes from the last agreement and explained the renewal of the <br />agreement for a new 10-year term. Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve the Ellensburg <br />Rodeo 2025-2034 Facilities Lease Agreement. Vice -Chairman Wright seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br />5. Other Business: Porterfield reported there would be a Fair Board Retreat Training on January <br />11, 2025.
