1.1 <br />1.2 <br />ARTICLE 1 . P EAMBLE AND PUROSE OF TH E AGREEMENT <br />This Agreement is entered into by and between the Board of Kittitas County Commissioners for <br />Kittitas County, Washington, and the Kittitas County Sheriff, both of which are hereinafter referred to <br />as the "Employer", and Teamsters Local Union No. 760, hereinafter referred to as the "Union", on <br />behalf of the employees. The purpose of this Agreement is to comply with all applicable statutory <br />provisions and to increase the general efficiency of the Sheriffs Office and to maintain harmonious <br />relations between the County and the Union. <br />As part of the purpose of the Agreement, the parties agree to the inclusion of the subjects of wages, <br />hours, working conditions and other provisions. <br />Employees of the Employer covered by this Agreement may, following the beginning of such <br />employment join the Union. <br />The Union agrees to represent all employees within the bargaining unit without regard to Union <br />membership. The Union shall provide the Employer with thirty (30) calendar days' notice of any <br />change in the dues structure and/or the initiation fee structure. <br />When the Employer hires a new employee, the Employer shall, within twenty-one (21) business <br />days of the date of employment, notify the Union in an editable digital file format, the following <br />information; <br />A. Name and date of hire <br />B. The employees' contact information, including: Cellular, home and work telephone numbers; <br />work and most up to date personal email addresses; and home address or personal mailing <br />address. <br />C. Employment information, including the employees job title, salary or rate of pay, and work site or <br />duty station. <br />D. Any other information as required by RCW 41.56.035. <br />The Employer will provide to the Union, every one hundred and twenty (120 days), in an editable <br />digital file format, the following information on all employees serving in the bargaining unit the <br />following information: <br />ARTICLE 2 - RECOGNITION <br />2.1 The Employer recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive collective bargaining representative of <br />all regular fulltime and regular parttime employees of the Kittitas County Sheriffs Office, excluding <br />the Sheriff, Undersheriff, Command/Appointed Staff, volunteers, and employees of the Corrections <br />Union. <br />2.2 Teamsters Local Union No. 760 recognizes the Board of County Commissioners and the Sheriff or <br />their designee's as representing the Employer. <br />ARTICLE3-UNIONSE RITY AND CHECK OFF <br />3.1 <br />3.2 <br />3.3 <br />1 <br />3.4
