project specific rezone is consistent with Kittitas County Code 158.03 Amendments to Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br />prior to considering the rezone application, the Board of County Commissioners opened the <br />SEPA appeat and p-ublic hearings on December 9b,2024, and continued the SEPA appeal and <br />public hiaring to December nn:2024, and denied the SEPA appeal by a 3-0 vote, finding that: <br />I. The rezone of Forest & Range is consistent with the current land use designation Rural <br />Working. <br />tr. The Rural Working land use designation allows the Forest Range Zonngdistrict. <br />m. Rezoning this parcel to Forest & Range is not creating inconsistencies or a spot rezone <br />as the land uscdesignation allows for Forest and Range zoning to occur. <br />1y. This parcel is not prime agriculturat ground nor is irigated and is range ground. <br />V. as part of the compliancaeffort, in 2013 Forest & Range and those permitted uses were <br />reviewed and approved creating consistency between Rural Working land use <br />designations and zoning disfficts. <br />The Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on Decembet 17b,2024, to consider <br />Docket ltem 2024-13 rezone amendment and approved the request as presented by a 3-0 vote' <br />finding that: <br />I. The planning Commission recommended approval to the Board of County <br />Commissioners with a vote of 4-1. <br />tr. Public testimony was received for this proposal. <br />III. Written testimony for this proposal was received. <br />ry. The change complies witfr ttre Growth Management Act and the objectives of the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />SECTION III.
