H. For any development that contains a private road, the following note shall be placed on the face <br />of the plat, short plat, development authorization, and subsequent documents transferring <br />ownership of lots: <br />"Kittitas County will not accept private roads for improvement, maintenance, or service <br />as public roads until such roads are brought into conformance with current Kittitas <br />County Road Standards and formally adopted by the Kittitas County Board of County <br />Commissioners according to KCC 12.01.10 . " <br />I. Private roads shall comply with the design requirements of KC Standard Plans for Private Roads <br />based on Roadway Classifications in KCC 12.03. <br />J. Private roads shall include a paved (HMA) approach when connecting to a public roadway which <br />is paved. The paved approach shall be the width of the roadway and is to include radius flares <br />on either side. Pavement depth to be a minimum of four inches over eight inches of compacted <br />aggregate. Pavement will extend from the roadway pavement edge a distance of twenty feet <br />along centerline of the private roadway. <br />Prior to final approval of any land use development activity, _ _ _ _ _. the entire <br />private road system serving a development shall be certified by a civil engineer licensed in the State of Washington <br />meet Kittitas County Road Standards, unless a performance guarantee is provided in accordance with KCC 12.01.091 <br />The certification shall include all private roads used to access the development from a County or other publicly <br />maintained road. Verification the private road meets Kittitas County Road Standards. Roads shall be vested to the road <br />Standards which apply at the time of the plat. Roads not certified and associated with plats or lots approve( <br />prior to the development of Kittitas County 2015 Road Standards shall be certified to Kittitas County 2015 <br />Road Standards. Roads certified to Kittitas County 2024 Road Standards shall meet the requirements of Tab <br />12.04.04-1 and <br />b. Verification the private road is sufficiently compacted, and <br />c. Verification the private road has a turn around meeting the requirements of Internation Fire Code, Append! <br />D, and <br />d. Verification the private road sufficiently manages stormwater runoff. <br />All required signs are installed per MUTCD standards(Stop Sin Road Sin etc. <br />Private Road maintenance agreement for newly developed property. <br />A final acceptance inspection by the Department of Public Works is required prior to acceptance of the <br />road certification.
