Cold Weather Shelter: Hope Source will begin move in on November 1st. November 1st — <br />14th will be used for Hope Source to setup and train volunteers. The shelter will begin actual <br />operation on November 151h. The contract will be going in front of the Ellensburg City <br />Council for final approval on November 41h. Porterfield is working to find a contractor for <br />the modifications needed in the kitchen of the VIP room. <br />Ellensburg Rodeo Contract: Porterfield will be meeting with Ellensburg Rodeo President <br />Jensvold to go over the updated lease agreement. <br />Friends of the Fair: Work continues on an amended agreement between Friends of the Fair <br />and Kittitas County. Porterfield is working with Zempel on sponsorship and livestock sale <br />questions. If needed, the KVEC/Fair office has the capacity to run/assist with the sponsorship <br />program, depending on what avenue the Fair Board wants to pursue. Porterfield will have <br />more information after convention trainings and brainstorming sessions with Fair Board <br />Directors. <br />Friends of the Fair agreed to cover $30,000 for roof repairs in Frontier Village.
