4.2 <br />5.1 <br />5.2 <br />5.3 <br />792 - Rood Union <br />Union officials who are employees in the bargaining unit shall be granted time off without loss <br />of pay for meetings with the County concerning matters of vital importance to the employees in <br />the bargaining unit. <br />ARTICLE 5 - HOURS OF WORK <br />The regular workweek for employees covered by this Agreement shall not be more than forty <br />(40) hours per week from Sunday through Saturday. <br />Public Works Employees: From October L through March 31 the normal (eieht (8) hour) <br />workday shall be from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. From April 1 through September 30 the normal (ten <br />(10) hour) workday shall be from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The normal workweek for eight (8) hour <br />workday shall be five (5) consecutive days, Monday through Friday. The normal workweek of ten <br />(10) hour workdays shall be four (4) consecutive days, Monday through Thursday or Tuesday <br />through Friday as determined by the Employer. <br />Solid Waste Employees: The normal forty (40) hour workweek shall be five (5) consecutive eight <br />(8) hour days either Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday as determined by the <br />Employer. The normal scheduled work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. <br />One-half (7/2\ hour shall be allotted for lunch. All hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours, or <br />ten (10) hours as determined by the normal work schedule, in any one (1) day, or forty (a0) <br />hours in any week, shall be compensated at one and one-halt (1%l the regular rate of pay. The <br />scheduled dates set forth above may be amended/extended as necessary for operations needs <br />by the County with prior notification to the Union. <br />Compensatory Time: An employee who works overtime will be paid overtime as provided above <br />UNLESS the employee chooses to receive compensatory time off in lieu of overtime pay, which <br />will be credited at one and one-half of compensatory time off for each hour of overtime worked. <br />No employee may accumulate in excess of forty (40) hours of compensatory time. Requests for <br />use of compensatory time will be granted within a reasonable time period subject to available <br />staffing, workload, and emergency requirements of staff and services. <br />5.4 An alternate work schedule may be granted at the discretion of the Employer <br />5.5 Employees who drive County equipment between the point of assembly, the work site, and/or <br />the place of overnight storage shall be compensated for such time involved as time worked. The <br />Public Works assembly point for work in the upper County shall be the shop in Cle Elum. The <br />assembly point for work in the lower County shall be the shop in Ellensburg or the Public Works <br />Office, located al4tt N. Ruby Street. The Employer may temporarily, seasonally, or <br />permanently change an employee's assignment to a specific shop. The Employer shall provide <br />three (3) working days advance notice for temporary or seasonal changes and fourteen (14) <br />working days advance for permanent changes in assignment. The assembly point for Solid <br />Waste employees shall be the Solid Waste facility of assignment, as determined by the Solid <br />Waste Director or designee. Where the Employer is unable, for any reason, to provide <br />notification of a change to the assembly point as required above, it will be treated as a callback <br />subject to the terms and conditions of Article 5.7. <br />7
