City prisoners being booked into the Kittitas County Jail shall remain the responsibility of <br />tlre police Officer olthe City and shall not be deemed an inmate of that facility until the City <br />Prisoner is accepted by Jail statf at the time of booking' <br />B. hrdividuals who are arrested by a Police Officer of the Cit-v on behalf of another law <br />enforcemerrt agency (outside warrants or agency assists) and no uimina] charges are filed for <br />allegcd criminal off"trc"s within the City, shall not be deemed a City Prisoner. <br />C. Indivicluals who are arrested by an outside agenoy on behalf of the City and housed in the <br />Kittitas County Jail solely on ih.rg* r'esultiug fi'om an alleged climinal offense having <br />occuned within the City shall be deemed a City Prisoner' <br />VI. .lail and llcdlcul Serviccs <br />A. Inmates deemed City Prisoners for medical purposos shall mean any pct'son arrested by a <br />police Officer of flrL City or another law enforcement agency on behalf of the Citv and <br />booked into the Kittitas Courty Jait (I(CQ ot housed by KCJ tbr a misdemeanor' gross <br />misderneanor or felqny offense ihat allegedly occurred within the City. These prisoners shall <br />receive such medical, psychiahic and dental treatment when etnergent and necessary to <br />safeguard their health while housed in the Kittitas County Jail, The lounty will provide or <br />urruig" for providing of such medical, psyohiatlic and dental services' The County will <br />attempt goori foith efforts in seeking reimbursemcnt from the City Prisone'r" Ho'fr'evet, except <br />tbr ro'tine minor medical serviceJprovided by the County within the Kittitas Coturty Jail, <br />the City shall ultirnately be responsible and pay dilectly or reimburse the County for any and <br />all costs associaied with the- cielive.ry of any emergency or necessaly medical service <br />provided to City Prisoners. The City slrall be responsible lbr any and all emergent or <br />necessary rnedical, dental and psychiatric treatment provided outside of the Kittitas County <br />Jail and shall be billed thereafter.
