Motion 11 . 02 carried to appoint Skylar <br /> Bisom-Rapp to Homelessness and Affordable Housing Committee. <br /> Update RFP Status <br /> Chelsey Loeffers reported on board direction to do an RFP for <br /> $250, 000 . 00 for Affordable Housing funding to be released in January <br /> 2025 . Public Health staff will start to prepare documents and bring the <br /> RFP drafts to the committee for review. Currently Homelessness funds <br /> will not have an RFP as there is not adequate funding available. <br /> Update on Odd Fellows status <br /> Chelsey Loeffers updated the committee that the county continues to work <br /> with the Odd Fellows Lodge for budget information for contracting <br /> purposes . <br /> Other Business <br /> Sleep Center Update <br /> No update at this time. <br /> Cold Weather Shelter Update <br /> Brett Wachsmith noted that the Cold Weather Shelter at the event center <br /> is for this year. The rental agreement should be approved by the city <br /> tonight. The shelter will operate from November 15, 2024- March 7, 2024 . <br /> Chelsey Loeffers also added that the operating contract is currently <br /> moving forward through the county process and should be approved by the <br /> middle of the month. <br /> 2025-2030 Plan Update <br /> Brittany Bouchouari updated the committee that they have finished up the <br /> community survey. They are working on focus groups that will facilitate <br /> in-depth discussion and ensure a comprehensive understanding of the <br /> issues surrounding homelessness in our county. Robin Read will support <br /> facilitation of these sessions . After the focus group meetings, the <br /> information gathered will be incorporated into the development of the <br /> plan. HopeSource is hoping to have a draft plan for review available the <br /> first quarter of 2025 . <br /> Nancy Goodloe noted that Brittany Bouchouari and Lily Frey are doing a <br /> great job facilitating meetings .
