• Routinely inspect the safety and sanitation of the facility and ensure that health standards <br />and guest's needs are being met. <br />• Ensure the building is clean and all trash has been picked up. <br />• Cleanup the general area. <br />• Clean and stow all shelter items including mats, snack supplies and any other items. <br />• Ensure the area is cleared and secured. <br />Ememencv procedures <br />Fire Emergency Procedures <br />In the event of a fire at CWS, staff and volunteers follow strict protocols to ensure the safety of <br />all guests: <br />Alert and Evacuate: Upon detection of fire or smoke, immediately sound the alarm and begin <br />evacuating the building in an orderly fashion. Staff and volunteers will assist guests in moving to <br />designated emergency exits. <br />Evacuation Routes: Use clearly marked evacuation routes to exit the building, guiding guests to <br />the nearest safe exit. Do not use elevators. <br />Assembly Area: Once evacuated, all guests, staff, and volunteers should gather at the designated <br />outdoor assembly point, ensuring everyone is accounted for. <br />Call Emergency Services: Staff or designated volunteer will contact 911 to report the fire and <br />provide necessary details. <br />Safety First: No one should re-enter the building until the fire department declares it safe. <br />Medical Emergency Procedures <br />In the event of a medical emergency at CWS, staff and volunteers should follow these steps to <br />ensure the safety and well-being of the affected individual: <br />Assess the Situation: Quickly evaluate the severity of the medical emergency. If the individual is <br />unconscious, unresponsive, or experiencing severe symptoms, immediately call for help. <br />Call 911: For serious medical emergencies, dial 911 immediately and provide the dispatcher with <br />clear information about the nature of the emergency, location, and the individual's condition. <br />Provide Basic First Aid: If trained, staff or volunteers may administer basic first aid while waiting <br />for medical professionals to arrive.
