Discussion occurred regarding Commissioner Deneen�s proposal of <br />May 15th as the application deadline. <br />COMMISSIONER PEARSON moved to pass this docket item on to the <br />Board of County Commissioners with a recommendation of approval <br />With the amended date of April 30th, COMMISSIONER DENEEN <br />seconded. Discussion - Further discussion occurred regarding the <br />date and timeframe for submittals. <br />COMMISSIONER DENEEN requested an amended motion for the date to <br />be the first Friday in May. COMMISSION PEARSON accepted the <br />amended motion. COMMISSIONER TAYLOR seconded. Discussion - none. <br />Motion passed 4-0. <br />Docket Item 2024-02 - LAMIRD update - This item was <br />proposed <br />CDS staff. CDS DIRECTOR BALA presented. CDS DIRECTOR BALAstated <br />there was a substitute senate bill, SSB 6140, that was passed by <br />the legislature, and it has been provided. This item proposes <br />amending KCC 17.15 land use table footnote #Is 14 and 48 <br />Pertaining to Type 1 LAMIRDs. Changing footnotes 14 and 48 <br />regarding the maximum square footage for new & existing retail <br />or food services to not exceed a footprint greater than 10,000 <br />sq ft. This increase to the square footage is to comply and <br />create consistency with state law pursuant to Senate Bill 6140. <br />CDS Staff recommends approval of this item as presented. Public <br />comments were received by the Confederated Tribes of the <br />Colville Reservation and Kittitas County Public Works. <br />VICE -CHAIR LUNDIN opened public comment discussion. This item proposes <br />to update its land use and zoning maps to reflect approved <br />annexations that have been passed by the City of Ellensburg in <br />2024. Map of location was provided. CDS Staff recommends <br />approval of this item as presented.
