8/26/24 MINUTES 2
DISCUSSION CAMAS Modernization Initiative Plan IT

Assistant Director Zane Kinney brought to the Commissioners’ attention
his idea to create an intranet advisory committee with plans to
revitalize the County’s intranet. Commissioner Wright asked how
members of this advisory committee would be selected and was given
reassurance that members with a diverse mindset from department
“families” who have been big contributors with subject expertise would
be selected. Zane reassured the BoCC that most of the features on the
intranet are outdated and unused today so removal wouldn’t cause any
disruption for the County. This topic will be brought to the Central
Services Committee for analysis and advisement with next steps being
to finalize the resolution and charter that’ll be presented to the
Management Team.

DISCUSSION Other Business IT

Assistant Director Kinney updated the commissioners on the progress of
the code publishing services that were acquired earlier in the summer.
Currently the 3rd party company, General Code, is working on coding the
County’s laws and ordinances onto their platform with expectations of
completion sometime in the next 6 months.

MEETING CONCLUSION COMMISSIONERS

At 11:37 a.m., Chairman Wachsmith concluded the Information Technology
Study Session.

KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

________________________________ ________________________________
Doug Fessler, IT Director Brett Wachsmith, Chairman
