• On September 10 h, 2024, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing to <br /> consider Docket Item 2024-01 for the 2024 Annual Amendment to the Comprehensive <br /> Plan and unanimously recommended approval (4-0) to change the proposed date to the <br /> first Friday in the month of May with twelve(12)findings of fact. <br /> • In their findings, the Planning Commission discussed that the proposed date of March <br /> 3 1"doesn't allow enough time for the community to submit applications and that the first <br /> Friday of the month of May provides enough time for the community to submit <br /> applications and adequate time for staff to process these applications. <br /> 2. Docket Item 2024-02— This item was proposed by KCCDS staff. This item proposes amending <br /> KCC 17.15 land use table footnote Ws 14 & 48 pertaining to Type 1 LAMIRDs. Staff proposes <br /> changing footnotes .14 & 18 regarding the maximum square footage for new & existing retail or <br /> food services to not exceed a footprint greater than 10,000 sq.ft. <br /> • On September 10th, 2024, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing to <br /> consider Docket Item 2024-02 for the 2024 Annual Amendment to the Comprehensive <br /> Plan and unanimously recommended approval (4-0) to change the proposed footnotes <br /> within KCC 17.15 Land use table with nine(9)findings of fact. <br /> • In their findings, the Planning Commission finds that the increase to the square footage <br /> will provide compliance and create consistency with state law pursuant to the approved <br /> Senate Bill 6140. <br /> 3. Docket Item 2024-03 — This item was proposed by KCCDS staff to update its land use and <br /> zoning maps to reflect approved annexations that have been passed by the City of Ellensburg in <br /> 2024. <br /> • On September 10', 2024, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing to <br /> consider Docket Item 2024-03 for the 2024 Annual Amendment to the Comprehensive <br /> Plan and unanimously recommended approval (4-0) to accept the City of Ellensburg's <br /> approved annexations and update the zoning maps accordingly with eight (8) findings of <br /> fact. <br /> 4. Docket Item 2024-04—KCCDS & Auditor Staff collectively propose to update Kittitas County <br /> Code 2.56, 14, 12,& 16 allowing surveys to submitted and recorded on paper instead of mylars. <br /> • On September 101, 2024, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing to <br /> consider Docket Item 2024-04 for the 2024 Annual Amendment to the Comprehensive <br /> Plan and unanimously recommended approval (4-0) to allow the option for surveys to be <br /> recorded on paper or mylar with nine(9) findings of fact. <br /> • In their findings, the Planning Commission finds that the option to record surveys should <br /> include the ability to be recorded on both,paper and mylar. <br /> 5. Docket Item 2024-05 — This item was proposed by KCCDS staff to add a definition for <br /> Agritourism consistent with RCW 4.24.830.
