The County recently updated <br /> its Shoreline Master Program,in accordance with the Department of Ecology's guidance and <br /> periodic review process. The County is in the process of updating its Critical Areas Ordinance to <br /> address current conditions and incorporate Best Available Science. All adopted policies,goals and <br /> regulations would apply to future development as planned for in the Comprehensive Plan Update. <br /> 3. How would the proposal be likely to deplete energy or natural resources? <br /> Energy conservation features are not applicable as part of this non-project action. Planned growth <br /> and development will require energy for heating,lighting,commercial and industrial uses, and <br /> other activities. <br /> Proposed measures to protect or conserve energy and natural resources are: <br /> • As a non-project action that is unlikely to deplete energy or natural resources no protection <br /> measures are included within this proposal. <br /> • Future development proposals would be subject to development permit reviews which require <br /> them to meet applicable County Building and Energy Codes. <br /> SEPA Environmental checklist(WAC 197-11-960) <br /> Jury 2016 Page 24 of 26 <br />
