sEcfloN 00 00 05.1 <br />SUPPLEMENTARY GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT <br />ARTICLE 1: DEFINITIONS: <br />Paragraph t.I.L, CHANGE the last sentence to read: <br />The Contract Documents include lnstructions to Bidders, Bid Proposal Form, Plans and Specifications, and <br />Standard Forms and Compliances. <br />THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: ADD the following to Paragraph 1.L'1 <br />It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor and each subcontractor to apprise themselves of all conditions, <br />limitations and requirements of these documents which are considered a part of each Section of each Division <br />of this Specification as if printed therein. <br />LI.LJ ADD the following text and clauses: <br />Conflicts in the Documents shall be brought to the Architect's attention. ln the event of conflicts or <br />discrepancies among the Contract Documents, interpretations will be made by the Architect in accordance <br />with this principle of complementary relationship among documents, with reference to the following priorities <br />if necessary to reach a conclusion: <br />.L The Agreement. <br />.2 National, State and LocalCodes and Ordinances. <br />.3 The Supplementary Conditions. <br />.4 The General Conditions of the Contract for Construction. <br />.5 The Project Manual and any Addenda; Addenda of later date take precedence over those of earlier <br />date. <br />.6 The Drawings; drawings of larger scale and greater detail take precedence over drawings of smaller <br />scale and less detail. <br />t.1'L.z Should conflict occur in or between Drawings and Specifications, Contractor is deemed to have <br />estimated the more expensive way of doing work unless he asked for and obtained written decision by <br />Addenda as to which method or materials will be required. <br />i..1.1.3 Where the word "similar" occurs on drawings, it shall be used in its general sense and not as meaning <br />identical, and all details shall be worked out in relationship to their location and their connection to <br />other parts of the work. <br />L.L.L.4 Where used in conjunction with the Architect's response to submittals, requests, applications, <br />inquiries, reports and claims by the Contractor, the meaning of the term "approved" will be held to the <br />limitations of the Architect's responsibilities and duties as specified in the Conditions of the Contract. <br />ln no case will "approval" by the Architect be interpreted as an assurance to the Contractor that the <br />requirements of the contract documents have been fulfilled. <br />THE DRAWINGS: ADD the following to Paragraph L.1.5 <br />Where on any drawings a portion of work is drawn out and remainder is indicated in outline, the drawn out <br />parts shall apply also to other like portions of the work.
