Are there fees associated with the Boys and Girls Club of Kittitas County?
Yes, but they are very minimal. There is a $25 dollar registration fee per year per family and $15 dollars
a month whether the child uses the club once or all month long. The goal is not to exclude any child that
would like to attend the Club after school program. Scholarships will be available.
Will the Boys and Girls Club be available during school breaks?
Yes. The Club will be open during most breaks except for weekends and holidays.
What age group will the Kittitas Club serve?
We will serve students ages 6 to 12 years of age.
What type of programming will you offer for kids and teens?
Boys & Girls Clubs of America offers a host of tested, proven and nationally recognized programs in core
program areas that closely align with the developmental needs of all young people:
• Career Development
• Character & Leadership
• Sports & Recreation
• The Arts
• Health and Wellness
• Education
As community-based, autonomous organizations, most Clubs offer a mix of national and locally
developed programs that best fit the needs of their Club members.

What are the benefits to being a Boys and Girls Club member?
Clubs provide a host of benefits to their members. While each Club’s programming offerings vary based
on community needs and interests, all Clubs provide youth with a safe, constructive environment where
they can learn and grow under the guidance of trained youth development professionals. Clubs
encourage members to strive for academic success, lead healthy lifestyles, and exhibit good character
and citizenship.
Will the Boys and Girls Club compete against the YMCA?
No, the club will use school-based sites to begin with and look to building an off-site club in the future.
The Boys and Girls Club focuses on school aged students, not the entre family as the YMCA. We see this
as an ‘and’ not ‘or’ for both organizations.
Contact information:
Name: Ann Leichleiter
Phone: 425-531-1565
Email: ann_leichleiter@ksd403.org
