2024 BUILDING PERMIT UPDATE <br />Chad Bala stated CDS would like to implement regular updates on <br />building permit process. Jeremy Larson stated the department had a <br />large influx of building permits submitted prior to March 14th due <br />to building code changes. Staff is catching up, but plan review is <br />averaging 14 weeks when the target is 4-6 weeks. Jeremy Larson <br />stated staffing level is adequate, and the diligent staff have <br />identified fraudulent submittals on engineering. <br />At 1:52PM the Board of County Commissioners announced they would <br />recess into Executive Session for 10 minutes with Chad Bala, <br />Stephanie Hartung, Molly McDowell, and Angela Bugni per RCW <br />42.30.110(1)(i) To discuss with legal counsel representing the <br />agency litigation that the agency reasonably believes may be <br />commenced by or against the agency, the governing body, or a <br />member acting in an official capacity. <br />At 2:02PM the Board of County Commissioners reconvened out of <br />Executive Session. Vice Chair Laura Osiadacz motioned to Authorize <br />Abatement Action in Superior Court and to Appropriate Funds and <br />Set Timetable for the Van Geelkerken and Martinez Abatement. <br />Chairman Wachsmith Commissioner Cory Wright moved to second the <br />motion approving Resolution 2024-156 and 2024-157. <br />At 2:04PM the Board of County Commissioners announced that they <br />would recess into another Executive Session for 10 minutes with <br />Josh Fredrickson, Stephanie Hartung, Molly McDowell, and Angela <br />Bugni per RCW 42.30.110(c)to consider the minimum price at which <br />real estate will be offered for sale or lease when public <br />knowledge regarding such consideration would cause a likelihood of <br />decreased price.
