SECTION 00 00 03.1 SUPPLEMENTARY INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS The following Supplementary Instructions to Bidders modify, delete or expand on the requirements as published in AIA Document A701 - 2018 "Instructions to Bidders." Where any article, paragraph, or subparagraph is modified, the unaltered portions shall remain in effect as published. ARTICLE 4 - SUBMISSION OF BIDS 4.2.1 DELETE the first sentence and INSERT the following: Each Bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the form and amount required on the Bid Form. 4.4.1 ADD the following: Bidders agree not to modify, withdraw or cancel bid proposals for a period of sixty (60) days after date set for receipt of bids. ARTICLE 5 — CONSIDERATION OF BIDS 5.1 ADD new subparagraphs and clauses as follows. 51.1 Per Chapter 39.12 RCW, Bidder shall provide the names of all subcontractors whose subcontract amount will be more than ten percent (10%) of the contract price and with whom the Bidder, if awarded a contract, intends to subcontract for performance of the categories of work designated on the submitted list. ARTICLE 6 - POST BID INFORMATION 6.3.1 DELETE as printed and INSERT the following: The Bidder shall, within 5 working days of the date of written notification of consideration for award of a Contract, furnish to the Owner through the Architect in writing: ARTICLE 7 - PERFORMANCE BOND AND PAYMENT BOND 7.1.1 REVISE the first sentence to read as follows: The Bidder shall furnish bonds covering faithful performance of the Contract and payment of all obligations arising thereunder. 7.1.2 DELETE as printed and INSERT the following: The cost of furnishing such bonds shall be included in the Bid. 7.2.2 DELETE as printed and INSERT the following: Bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each written in the amount of .100% of the contract price, on contract form AIA Document A312, Performance Bond and Payment Bond, latest edition by a qualified surety.
