Freight moving <br />through these ports relies heavily on efficient <br />transportation corridors like 1-90 to reach <br />distribution centers, warehouses, and markets <br />across the state and beyond. <br />The efficient movement of freight along the <br />1-90 corridor is essential for supporting <br />regional and statewide economic activities. <br />Industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, <br />retail, and distribution rely on the timely <br />delivery of goods to sustain operations and <br />meet consumer demand — so any disruptions <br />or congestion along this corridor can have <br />significant implications for businesses and <br />supply chains. <br />CHAPTER 3: EXISTING CONDITIONS IN THE STUDY AREA <br />The existing traffic conditions as presented <br />in Section 3.2.1 also affect the movement of <br />freight along the 1-90 corridor within the study <br />area. <br />Truck parking is often described as an issue <br />by the community members during public <br />comment.
