KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PUBLIC WORKS/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY <br />1:30 PM <br />July 22, 2024 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz, and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br />Others: Josh Fredrickson, Cameron Curtis, Reid Burbank, Rebecca <br />Cruse, Public Works; Chad Bala, Jamey Ayling, Jessica Miller, <br />Community Development Services; Stephanie Hartung, Prosecuting <br />Attorney's Office; Dan Ireland, consultant with SCJ Alliance; 3 <br />members of the public. <br />At 1:31 PM Chairman Brett Wachsmith opened the Public Works and <br />Community Development Services Study Session. <br />Citizen Comments <br />Mike Pearson, Kittitas County resident, commented on floodplain and <br />wetland designation at his property and believed the maps to be bad <br />science used for leverage to support fish habitat projects. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK <br />AND BUDGET REQUEST REQUIRED FOR WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF <br />COMMERCE 2026 PERODIC UPDATE GRANT APPLICATION <br />Chad Bala requested the Board of County Commissioners consider <br />Resolution 2024-131 and Resolution 2024-132 to support Community <br />Development Services efforts to move forward with online <br />applications. Chad Bala state he compiled the scope of work and <br />review was conducted by the consultant. Vice -Chair Laura Osiadacz <br />move to approve Resolution 2024-131 and 2024-132, Commissioner Cory <br />Wright seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PROPOSED CLIMATE AND <br />RESILIENCY SCOPE OF WORK AND BUDGET REQUEST FOR THE 2026 PERIODIC <br />REVIEW AND UPDATE TO THE KITTITAS COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />Resolution 2024-131 and 2024-132 approved jointly at previous item of <br />business. <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN DOCKET <br />Chad Bala briefed the Board of County Commissioners on the Annual <br />Comprehensive Plan docket and detailed the itemized list of requests <br />and recommendations. Chad Bala requested the Board of County <br />Commissioners support the staff and committee recommendations. The <br />2024-7-22 MINUTES <br />
