KITTITAS COUNTY <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES <br />2024 STUDY STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: July 22nd, 2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution supporting the proposed <br />Climate and Resiliency scope of work and budget request <br />for the 2026 periodic review and update to the Kittitas <br />County Comprehensive Plan. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County is required to plan for climate change and <br />resiliency, which was added as the 14d' goal of the Growth <br />Management Act (GMA) RCW 36.70A. As part of the <br />WA ST Dept. of Commerce's grant application for Climate <br />and Resiliency, it is required that a supportive document be <br />provided from the jurisdiction to complete the Grant <br />Application. <br />INTERACTION: CDS. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution supporting the proposed Climate & <br />Resiliency scope of work and budget as required by the <br />WA. ST. Dept. of Commerce's Periodic Update Grant <br />application. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Community Development Services. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution. <br />LEAD STAFF: Chad Bala, Director. <br />
