KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES <br /> 2024 STUDY STAFF REPORT <br /> STUDY SESSION DATE: July 22nd, 2024 <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution supporting the proposed <br /> Climate and Resiliency scope of work and budget request <br /> for the 2026 periodic review and update to the Kittitas <br /> County Comprehensive Plan. <br /> BACKGROUND: Kittitas County is required to plan for climate change and <br /> resiliency, which was added as the 14d'goal of the Growth <br /> Management Act(GMA) RCW 36.70A. As part of the <br /> WA ST Dept. of Commerce's grant application for Climate <br /> and Resiliency, it is required that a supportive document be <br /> provided from the jurisdiction to complete the Grant <br /> Application. <br /> INTERACTION: CDS. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution supporting the proposed Climate & <br /> Resiliency scope of work and budget as required by the <br /> WA. ST. Dept. of Commerce's Periodic Update Grant <br /> application. <br /> HANDLING: Return one original to Community Development Services. <br /> ATTACHMENTS: Resolution. <br /> LEAD STAFF: Chad Bala, Director. <br />
