06/04/2024 MINUTES 3 <br /> THOSE PRESENT & TESTIFYING: JERRY LAEL, DIRECTOR OF FAIR BOARD said <br />he was concerned with those working minimum wage at the parking lot <br />and although it may make a difference in revenue, he didn’t feel it <br />would help out with traffic. PAT KELLEHER spoke about his previous <br />comments and the intention to making it work for the community. He <br />said he didn’t see it in the master plan addressing the problems. <br /> RESOLUTION 2024-102 AMEND PARKING RATES EVENT CENTER VICE-CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ moved to approve Resolution No. 2024-102, <br />Adopting Amendments to Parking Rates at the Kittitas County Fair, <br />effective June 5, 2024. COMMISSIONER WRIGHT seconded. Motion <br />carried 3-0. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING IRRIGATION FRANCHISE – JENSEN PUBLIC WORKS <br />At approximately 2:32 p.m. CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened a Public <br />Hearing to consider an Irrigation Franchise with Adam Jensen along <br />Upper Badger Pocket Road and WPA Road. <br /> JOSH FREDRICKSON, ENGINEER, reviewed a Staff Report and recommended <br />approval of a request for an Irrigation Franchise with Adam Jensen. THOSE PRESENT & TESTIFYING: RICHARD LEWIS spoke of an easement and <br />how water has historically been delivered. THERE BEING NO OTHERS REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. AGREEMENT IRRIGATION FRANCHISE – JENSEN PUBLIC WORKS VICE-CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ moved to approve a Non-Exclusive Irrigation <br />Water Franchise with Adam Jensen, to Use County Roads, Rights-of-Way <br />and Other County Property Within Kittitas County. COMMISSIONER WRIGHT seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING SHERIFF’S OFFICE - AIRPORT LEASE PUBLIC WORKS <br />At approximately 2:37 p.m. CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened a Public <br />Hearing to consider a Lease with the Kittitas County Sheriff’s <br />Office for property located at the Kittitas County Airport, Bowers <br />Field. <br /> JOSH FREDRICKSON, ENGINEER, reviewed a Staff Report and said the <br />proposed Lease was to clarify the lease terms with the Kittitas <br />County Sheriff’s Office for property located at the Kittitas County <br />Airport, Bowers Field. THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED.
