KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5th ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM May 13, 2024 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith and vice - <br />Chairman Laura Osiadacz. <br />Others: Chad Bala and Jessica Miller, Community Development <br />Services; Mark Cook, Josh Fredrickson, Cameron Curtis, and <br />Rebecca Cruse, Public Works; Stephanie Hartung, Angela Bugni and <br />Doug Mitchell, Deputy Prosecutor; Darren Higashiyama and Chris <br />Whitsett, Kittitas Sheriff's Office; and no (0) members of the <br />public. <br />At 1:49 pm Chairman Wachsmith opened the Community Development <br />Services Study Session. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS (1 MIN. TIME LIMIT) <br />There were no public comments. <br />SHORT TERM RENTAL UPDATE <br />CDS Director Chad Bala stated the committee met last week and <br />solidified recommendation on using the short-term rental <br />definition out of the RCW. This item will be docketed with the <br />Comprehensive Plan process this year. The committee decided to <br />continue meeting once a month to develop regulation and <br />resolution to address short-term rentals. <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN DOCKET UPDATE <br />CDS Director Chad Bala shared that CDS currently has six items <br />on the list for the Comprehensive Plan docket this year.
