4.1 Collaboration *
4.2 Promoting Local
*BUSINESS
Our most significant collaborator to-date has been Gallery One in Ellensburg. During
summer 2A22, we worked together to create a "visiting artist program." We provided
living quarters for 1-2 weeks and Gallery One provided studio space for out-of-town
artists to visit and create work in our community. These artists gave a presentation ai
Gallery One and were a draw for folks who wanted to experience the creative
process first-hand by accomplished artists from oulside our area. ln October 2023,
we are partnering with Gallery One lo help coordinate a 1-day arts conference that
will engage 50-75 attendees in presentalions, workshops, and networking
opportunities tretween Ellensburg and Thorp. Also in October 2023, we are
supporting Thorp Community Days through parade participation. community
engagement, and cross-marketing.
Historically, we have also partnered at various levels with the following trusinesses
and o'rganizaiions:
(1). lron Horse has supplied beer for events and we created the mural in their new
tasting room. We also used one of their warehouse spaces for an event in
December 2019 called "Boxing Day" for which we installed projected videos, custom
lighting design, and hundreds of cardboard boxes to create an immersive community
experience for families to build forts, giant robots and cardboard sculplures while a
DJ played music and lron Horse poured beers. We are currently working on a can
design for their ''artisl series" fall seasonal release-
(2). lnland Poetry has hosted performances at our "Barnstorm" events as well as the
new stage at our Fire House Project.
(3). Members of our team are responslble for the interior and rooftop murals at Hotel
Windrow as well as artwork throughout the hotel.
(4). ln May 2A22, we collaborated with the Thorp School District to host a month-
long exhibition oi sludent artwork.
(5). ln June 2A22,we collaborated with Make Music Ellensburg and the Ellensburg
Skate Park for a live t-shirt printing demo.
We also collaborated with numerous artists and musicians throughout 2023. ln the
future, we are excited to expand partnerships with more arts and cultural
organizalions throughout the county and the Depanment ol Art + Design at CWU.
We are also interested in building partnerships with food trucks to further develop
the hospiiality component of our business plan.
2500 characler linrit
Describe hov! you will prcmole lodgisg establishments, .estaur.)nls. and bijsiqess localed in Kittitas Couriy
We have a list of hotels and restaurants that we provide to fo{ks conring from out-of-
town. This is a list that goes to our vasiting resident artists, exhibiting ariists and
guest speakers. With the addition of multi-day workshops, we would include this
information as pari of the signup process for attendees. As our audience and
attendance continues to grow, we also want to partner with a hospitality vendor or
food truck and look forward to finding ways to bring more businesses to Thorp.
2500 character linrt
4.3 Host Hotel*ls lhere a hosl hotel lor your event or grant project?
