Response 3:
Measuring Results*
Describe holv you wili promole your evenUactivilyllacilily to attract lounsis.
By targeting our marketing to lhe Seattleffacoma, Portland, Oregon, and Eastern
Washington areas, we will reach a market that is already predisposed to driving for
more than 50 miles or staying overnight. Approximately 25o/o ol our current visitors
have identified themselves through our register book, which often represenl one
person for several individuals (as we have many units of family or friends visi!).
These individuals are seeking either a day or overnight experience in and around
Ellensburg and Kittitas County.
Our evening lecture series, Historic Pub Crawl, and other activities already draw
many individuals lrorn the 50+ miles demographic, visiting ior the event and then
returning home or staying overnight depending on specific interest. We currently
have had a response of individuals attending from the Seattle, Tri-Cities, Moses
Lake, Bellingham, Kent, and Spokane areas beyond those {rom Kittitas County. ln
most cases, most had heard about the pub crawl, lectures, or special activities from
online marketing and promotion.
We anlicipate with more lectures, pub crawls, and activities we will have more
guests from the 50r mile distance. One of the presenlers in the 2A24 lectute selies
is known to draw attendees from the Tri-Cities, Northeast Oregon, and Spokane,
and while the oihers are not yet confirmed, we anticipate similar crowds from them.
Our pub crawl has drawn guests from Bellingham to Walla Walla, while our walking
tours have included international attendees.
Addilional events and activities, including new exhibits, have always proven to be of
inlerest to those looking to day-trip or overnight in Ellensburg and Kittitas County.
We are looking to promote exhibits between historical sites and museums in and
throughout Ellensburg and Kittitas County as well as Cenlral Washington. We are
working on exhibit plans and programming options with our fellow museums and
heritage siles in and around Kittitas County, along with many other groups,
organizations. and local businesses.
250O clraracter limit
Application Questions: Part 3
4l Collaboration
lf your organization collaborates or has created partnerships with other organizations, groups, or other events, how is this
accomplished?
