Response 1: <br />ProjecVEveni <br />*uescnplron <br />We are seeking funds lo support the continued marketingladvertising of our event, <br />targeting attendance from outside of Kitlitas Counly, specifically hom the areas of <br />King, Pierce, Yakima, Cheian and Douglas counties. Cowboy Cross is a iop level <br />enduro-cross race and bull riding event held annually in the world-iamous <br />Ellensburg Rodeo Arena during late Septemtler. The comtrination of these two <br />events were introduced in 2018 for the first time. Now headed into the 6th year, it <br />has become a major tourism event and economic driver in Kittitas County. We are <br />seeking marketing and operation funding to continue the growth of the event. <br />The errent features multiple competitions. a beer garden. plus open entries to the <br />Saturday main race event. The rodeo arena can fit up io 10,000 seated atlendees, <br />and our upward trend of filling those seats dispiays the potent;al for this event. <br />Hosttng an open practice run the night before the event strengthens our impact, our <br />projections are conservatively estimating the stays jn the area. <br />This year. we wiil keep the ticket price at $25 to keep ihe evenl affordable for those <br />attending. VVe continue to oartner with a host holel in Ellensburg, the Comfort lnn. <br />Who has been able to give a room block and discount code to track and rneasure <br />those staying in the area for lhe event directly. <br />Our application will assisi us in advertising to those coming lo watch the races and <br />lhe entertainment of the bull riding. Additionally, the requested funds for operations <br />will errsure that the competitors will conlinue to come and create the atmosphere <br />that is enjoyed by attendees and other competiiors and their families.
