Response 1: <br />ProjecVEvent <br />*uescnpnon <br />The Washington State Ski & Snowboard Museum (WSSSM) (htip:l/www.wsssm.org) <br />opened in 2A15. Located on Snoqualmie Pass, just over the King-Kittitas county line, <br />WSSStvl is truly the first tourism destination in Upper Kittitas County. The museum rs <br />in the modern and growing Pass Life development next to the Summit ski area, <br />ideally situaied in between two popular venues: Commonwealth restaurant and Dru <br />Bru brewery- WSSSM rs open year-round, Friday-Sunday. Admission is FREE. <br />ln 2023. the museum board hired the first WSSSM Executive Director, Kaihy Moffeli <br />McDonald. The museum is staffed by volunleers, managed by our Operations and <br />Voiunteer Coordinator. WSSSM is a community space and meeting spoi for <br />Snoqualmie Pass. Our volunteer hosts inteaact with every visitor and prov;de local <br />infornration for the surrounding area. <br />lr1 the flrst hall ol 2423, the nruseum saw a 47o/o increase rn museum visits over the <br />prior year and expects to end the year with an all-time high of arourrd 6.750 visitors. <br />QR code surveys tell us that 97% of visitors travel more than 50 miles and 13% <br />come from outside $lashington State. About 12% ol visitors report an orrernight stay. <br />As a non-profit, VVSSSM has developed broad and consisient support from over 35C <br />individual and corporate donors across the state, including The Summit. Northwest <br />Winter Sports Foundation. Ski \/Vashinglon. K2, Mervin. and more. Communily <br />partnerships include Drtr Bru. The Summit, Sturlevant's, Outdoors for All. VeftFest. <br />PacWest Banked Sialom. Warrerr Miller. REl. Edgeworks. Suncadia and rnore. <br />WSSSM ls a storytelling, digital hands-on museum with 11 permanent exhibits and <br />many vrdeos. ln 2423. the museum launched a new Snowboarding Exhibit and <br />original fiim. \lVe had a well-attended pa.ty and ieceived great press on lhe iaunch, <br />Our most popular exhibit is on our State's Olympians. We are pleaseel to have our <br />Olympians slay connected with the museum. <br />lf awalded funds, WSSSM will invest in targeted p.int, digital advertlsirlg campaigrrs. <br />focusing on social media platfonns frequented by our target demographic, including <br />yollnger snorarboarders. A new campaign called "Ground Troops" targets ad./erlisirrg <br />on mobile phones lhat irarre visited a ski resort in Washington State. This canpaign <br />will allow ris io reach our rarget demo who may noi be aware of our museurn's <br />exisience.
