With both shows now being over 4 years, I arn looking
ahead and evaluating ways to become self-sustaining such as sponsorship
opportunities and areas oi increased in-kind trade. I am also evaluating ways of cost
recovery for futlrre. in the event current faciliiies become ou1 of budget wiih ihe
continued rate irrcreases or decline in facility upkeep prevents lhe usage.
:i50tl .rharaclea irn!l
Application Questions: Part 4
6l Additional lnformation
Prorride any additional information which will assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluating your project and ils
benefit to tourisnl.
Additional lnformation Junk-tiquen in lhe Burg is gaining a large following of both shoppers and vendors.
Verrdors spaces are maxed out with a waiting list and the number of shoppers
continues to grow. With COVID hitting, this did set lhe event momentum back some.
The grant would allow the show to continue to advedise and continue working io
regain that momenl flack-
in 20'18, National magazine, Flea Market Gardens, named the show as one of
readers' lop choice vintage shows to attend. h 2A17, Junk-tiquen in the Burg was
named one of lhe 12 top vintage markets ir'l the United States as a must attend
show by National magazine, Flea Market D6cor'.
The grant has been instrumenial in the growth and success of the show. I am so
grateful for the opportunity the grant process gives events. Receiving this grant
again would allow the show to expand its advedising and continue to dravt more
shoppers and vendors from out of the area. More out of state and country shoppers
will increase the likelihood of overnight stays and all shoppers anci vendors will
increase arrcillary spending in the county as well as enhance the quality of the show
for our county residence.
2501) !:hara.ter lioll
SUppOfting DOCUmgntS '/ou :ilav !ipload ail-v supporting rJocunrents such .rir graphs. inraqes. dlal]rafirs. n: trkeiing i|.rleriii:,, 4kr.
Flea Market Decor award.pdf 738.88K8
Budget explanation 2023.pdf 84.27K4
Show photos and comments page.pdf 2.04M8
You ara alk-.vieci lq submil !!r to 3 sin!'lle paqe il.ls L"tler) rl{lcumillrts rt .JPaj, pDF or IIFF iarftat
I
7l Previous Lodging Tax Grant lnformation
