People also lcve to {incj <br />a fun and excitirrg way to celebraie our indeper:dence on the 4th of July weekend. <br />This is a large-scale event meani to cater to the tastes of both locals and tourists <br />alike al a venue well-known across the Pacific Northwest. <br />Ellensburg and lhe surrounding Kittitas County area has plenty of available lodging <br />offerings over the course of the 4th of July weekend. especially with our newly built <br />hotels, and we at KVEC also offer on-site canrping. This makes it easy for oui-of- <br />town visitors io iind a place to stay and be willing to lravel lo our area. This was mostly caused to having the event on a Monday due <br />to the way the calendar and holiday of July 4th fell this last year. On a positive note. <br />the weather was perfect. and the show went of{ flawlessly. People who did attend <br />had the best lime arlcl look forward to making it an annual iradition! <br />After a stunning National Anthern by the Stoddard Sisters, the crowcl was geared up <br />for lhe double-headline show ahead of them. People were highly eniertained by our <br />first act, Runaway June, as the ladies sung their hearts out and put on one of the <br />most energetic performances that we've had in our arerra yet. People couldn't stop <br />talking about them for weeksl Colt Ford was the second headliner and performed <br />with the high level of patriotisnr as expected. The crowd was so pumped up from his <br />performance they continued singing at the top oi their lungs all through the fireworks <br />show as patiiotic songs played in the background. lt was more than enough to give <br />you goosebumps! <br />The nighl continued with the Patriot After Party in Behind the Chutes featuring B0 <br />Proof Ale. They kept the crowd dancing for the last hour and half of lhe event before <br />we closed it all down. Overall, 2023 turned out to be a smooth operation and we saw <br />quite a few tourists still and nrany new locals came down [o celebrate within their <br />communiiy too, The event partners, senrice providers. sponsors, volunteers, and <br />event attendees shared the upmost positive comments and many are looking <br />forward to more in 20241 <br />25{lO (:haracler linrit <br />Application Questions: Parl 2
