Future Plans *
Application Questions: Parl 4
h 2A23, we were able to partner with sponsors to purchase ten bucking chutes from
the Ellensburg Rodeo for permanent installation at the Horse Park during 2A24.fhis
is a milestone for the Roundup to establish a permanent western arena at the facility.
We continue to work with the Horse Park to develop a plan for a long-term lighting
and seating solution- However, tor 2A23 we rented temporary bleachers to increase
our sealing capacity and lights for arena, vendor and parking utilization. Permanent
seating is of the utmost importance to the successful growth of the Roundup.
However, it also presents substantial challenges due to space availability & iacility
wantslneeds, as well as permitting, site prep, installation, labor and material costs.
The long{erm benefits of permanent seaiing allows for better self sustainability of
not only the Roundup but also olher events held at the venue. We can generate
greater revenue irom increased seats & lighting with tiered ticket pricing based on
seat location and perlormance dayltime. h 2A24 we will continue 1o evolve our ticket
sales with two perlormance and family ticket packs, discount packs/codes, as well
as partnerships with local hotels on packages to guarantee overnigtrt stays.
ln2024, we will utilize sponsorship levels that belter align to our revenue goals and
offer consislent messaging to our donors. This will help to preserve long{erm donor
relations, as well as atlract new supporters. There has been a positive supporter
response thus far. ln 2024, we will increase contestant pa(icipation by continuing
what we started last year with well prepared arena ground management with a focus
on timed events. We will increase our added money and give practical go-round
prizes. ln 2023, we did not crown a bull riding champion so that added money will
roll over to ovr 2a24 rodeo, attracting nurnerous talented athletes to compete for the
increased prize money.
h 2A24 we are looking to increase revenue with more community support through
annual membership. VIP seating and expanding the event quality and specialty acts.
2500 draracter liBil
6l Additional lnformation
Provide any additional information which will assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluatrng your project and its
benefit to tourism.
Additional lnformation After two years of COVID and record breaking heal in 2022, we experienced sold
out crowds in 2A23, for both performances. To bolster our foothold in the community
we are strengthening our relationships wilh Washington State Horse Park (WSHP);
planning additional events at the facility that will draw local residents of UKC while
showcasing the beautiful venue that is right in our backyard. ln addition, the
Roundup has plans to have one of their board members join the Cle Elum
Downtown Association to build on that relationship/bring awareness to the Roundup
and the WSHP ln conjunction, the Roundup has plans lo have a much larger
presence at Pioneer Days, not just an entry in the parade. lt is our goal that
Roundup and the WSHP are both known entiiies by every resident of UKC.
We are grateful to have a fun and successful community event and look lorward to
ihe 1Oth annual Cle Elum Roundup during the lasl weekend of July in 2024.
2500 charrcter li$it
Supporting Documents You nray ripload any supporling docu{Ienis slich as g.aphs. inralJes. diagra.ns. rtarketing tr}aterials, etc
You a.e n!l{)!ved to submil up lo 3 single page {US Letleri docunents in JPG.
