BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024- <br />APPOINTING JOSH FREDRICKSON, PE, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR, AS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT ADMINISTRATOR <br />WHEREAS: Revised Code of Washington Chapter 86.15.060 enables the Board of <br />County Commissioners to appoint the County Engineer as Flood Control <br />Zone District Administrator; and <br />WHEREAS: The Public Works Director/Community Development Services Director <br />has served as Flood Control Zone District Administrator since 2015 and <br />is retiring effective July 1, 2024; and <br />WHEREAS: The current Public Works Director recently promoted from County <br />Engineer and is familiar with flood control and has flood emergency <br />response experience with the Federal Emergency Management Agency; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: The current County Engineer is not experienced in flood fight or with <br />Flood Control Zone District administration. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners, after due <br />consideration, does hereby appoint Josh Fredrickson, PE, Public Works Director as the Flood <br />Control Zone District Administrator, effective June 1, 2024. <br />DATED this 71" day of May 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington, <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
