KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2024 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: May 7, 2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Appointing Josh <br />Fredrickson Flood Control Zone District Administrator <br />BACKGROUND: In 2015, the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) <br />notified the County Road Administration Board (CRAB) <br />that the Public Works Director would serve as Flood <br />Control Zone District (FCZD) Administrator. The Director <br />has served as Administrator ever since. The pending <br />retirement of the Public Works/Community Development <br />Services Director requires Board action on the pending <br />district administrator vacancy. The work experience of Mr. <br />Fredrickson makes him a good choice for FCZD <br />Administrator. <br />A letter noticing the CRAB of the BoCC's appointment is <br />prepared and will be sent to CRAB with a copy of the <br />enabling resolution. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution appointing Josh Fredrickson Flood <br />Control Zone District Administrator. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
