CITY OF CLE ELUM <br />WASHINGTON <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1668 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLE ELUM, <br />WASHINGTON, AMENDING CHAPTER 13.12 OF THE CLE <br />ELUM MUNICIPAL CODE ("CEMC") RELATED TO <br />WATER REGULATIONS; PROVIDING FOR <br />SEVERABILITY; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the city has seen an increase in the usage of the water fill station and there are <br />concerns over where and how that water is being used; and <br />WHEREAS, the health and safety of the citizens of Cle Elum is of great concern to the Mayor <br />and City Councilmembers; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to protect the city's critical water supply, code amendments to the city's <br />Chapter 13.12 CEMC, Water Regulations, are necessary; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City and community to establish a new section in <br />Chapter 13.12 CEMC related to "Auxiliary Non -Potable Water Services". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLE ELUM, <br />WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. CEMC 13.12.095 "Auxiliary Non -Potable Water Services") Established. Cle <br />Elum Municipal Code Section 13.12.095 is hereby established and to read as follows: <br />13.12.095 Auxiliary non -potable water services <br />A. The Water Fill Station is an auxiliary water supply - unapproved <br />1. The City of Cle Elum operates a non -potable water fill station located at <br />Memorial Park Ball Field Parking Lot/South Cle Elum Way. <br />2. Only licensed contractors with an approved city application are permitted to <br />utilize the water fill station for non -potable purposes; including, but not <br />limited to, construction activities, landscaping projects, or other approved <br />uses. <br />3. Fees shall be paid for use of the water fill station in accordance with Section <br />13.12.100(H) of the Cle Elum Municipal Code. <br />4. Any contractor found to be in violation of this provision may be subject to <br />penalties as outlined in subsection D below. <br />B. Compliance Requirements <br />
