Cost may include classroom supplies, light <br />refreshments, other goods, and services necessary to promote and teach classes, and officer <br />salaries, benefits, and wages. Officer salaries will only be reimbursed for those officers who <br />have successfully completed State Parks Adventures ln Boating lnstrudarTraining Class and are <br />listed on our files. <br />8.1.5 RBS training as outlined in the Allowable Costs and Expenditures for State Vessel Registration <br />Fees and FederalAssistance Grants (Attachment "B") <br />8.1.6 RBS Equipment as outlined in the Allowable Costs and Expenditures for State Vessel Registration <br />Fees and Federal Assistance Grants {Attachment "8"). Any equipment expenditures over two <br />thousand two hundred and fifty dollars ($Z,ZSO.OO1 must receive authorization from state parks <br />prior to purchase. <br />8,1.7 Educational publications which promote RBS education that are already prepared or the <br />creation, design, and printing of publications <br />8.1.8 Promotion of Adventures ln Boating classes, including presentation materials, light <br />refreshments, and room rentalfor classes. <br />8.1.9 Other items as deemed by MLE to be necessary to complete the p$ect <br />8.1.10 Support of the Basic Marine Law Enforcement Academy by agencies who provided MLE <br />recognized instructors <br />8.2 Non-Allowable Costs and Expenditures, <br />8.2.1 Bullet proof vests are beneficial; however, equipment of this nature is not essentialfor meeting <br />the established criteria in WAC 35?-65{40 nor is it related to the performance of the RgS <br />program mission and is considered a local agency responsibility to purchase. <br />8.2,2 Equipment used in recover operations (dive equipment, etc.) while being used in an RBS search <br />or investigation mode are t@% eligible. Once this equlpment is used for recovery operations it <br />must be prorated between RBS misslons and recovery missions. <br />8.2.3 Handheld or portable night vision, FLIR or thermal imaging devices are a tCF/o allowable <br />expense while in RBS patrol, search, or investigation mode. Once this equipment is used for <br />recovery operations it must be prorated.
