VnI. Comncnsation <br />A. I(ittitas Couuty agl'ees to accept and house Walla Walla Prisoners for compensation <br />per pt'isoner at the rate of $76,99 per day for the year 2024 and $80.84 pel day for the <br />yeat 2025 (also see Section VI herein) except as provicled below. This rate includes <br />tuinintunr, mediunt and maximum classification irurates. The parties agrce that the <br />County will not charge Walla Walla County a separate booking fee in addition to such <br />rate. <br />B. The rate of cornpensation for any imrate requiring additional or specialized conclitions <br />of incarcet'atiou to the exteut that they must be placed alone in a single cell designed <br />for doulrle occupancy shall be $153.98 per day for the )'ear 2024 and $161.68 pel day <br />for the year 2025. KCJ rvill plomptly notify Walla Walla County il'an offender is placed <br />alotte in such a cell unless that housing is irrcidental to moving the offendel or for short <br />telm discipl inary sepalation. <br />C. The date of booking into, and the date of release fi'om, the I(ittitas Courrty Jail of the <br />Walla Walla Prisonets, no rnatler horv little time of a hryenry-four hour day it <br />coustitutes, shall count as one day for billing pulposes and shall be bitlecl to Walla <br />Walla County as a day of custody in Kittitas County. <br />IX. Billins and Billins Disnute Resolution Procedures <br />A. The County shall tlansnrit billings to the designated contact for Walla Walla County <br />on the following dates: April 15th, July 15th, October 15th, and January 15th. Within <br />forty-five (45) days after leceipt, Walla Walla County shall pay the ftill amouril billed <br />or withhold any portion thereof related to disputed medical costs and provide the <br />County wtitten notice specifying the zunount withheld and the grourds for withholding <br />such atnoutt, together rvith payment of the rernainder of the amourt billed. <br />B.
