02/20/2024 MINUTES 2 <br /> <br />JOSH FREDRICKSON, ENGINEER, provided a Staff Report and indicated <br />the Board of County Commissioners previously eliminated the Airport <br />Department in 2023, and returned the responsibilities back to the <br />Public Works Department, as a division. The current County Code <br />references an Airport Study Session, and therefore each month Staff <br />is required to notice the meeting as cancelled. The proposed <br />amendment would remove the Airport Study Session, and those issues <br />could be addressed through the Public Works Study Session. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE IN ATTENDANCE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC <br />PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 2024-001 AMEND KCC 2.04.010 PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ moved to approve Ordinance No. 2024-001, <br />Amending Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.04.010 Regarding Kittitas <br />County Board of Commissioner’s Regularly Scheduled Study Sessions. <br />COMMISSIONER WRIGHT seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY AUDITOR <br /> <br />At approximately 2:05 p.m. CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened a Public <br />Hearing to consider an Amendment to Kittitas County Code Chapter <br />2.81 to Allow for the Sale of County Personal Property by a <br />Privately Operated Consignment Auction. <br /> <br />BRYAN ELLIOTT, AUDITOR, reviewed a proposed Ordinance which would <br />amend Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.81, allowing for the sale of <br />County personal property by a privately operated consignment <br />auction. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />At 2:07 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess <br />into Executive Session with Stephanie Hartung, Chief Civil Deputy <br />Prosecutor; Mark Cook, Public Works/CDS Director; and Josh <br />Fredrickson, Engineer; for 10 minutes under RCW 42.30.110 (i) To
