SEPTEMBER 25, 2023 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith; Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Doug Fessler, IT Director; Zane Kinney, Assistant IT Director; <br />Grant Shimada, IT Administrative Assistant; Stephanie Hartung, Deputy <br />Prosecuting Attorney; Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING IT STUDY SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 11:00 a.m. Chairman Wright opened the Information Technology Study <br />Session. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> <br />There were no citizen comments. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION PW, CDS, AND AP MERGE - IT GUIDANCE REQUEST IT <br /> <br />Mr. Kinney informed the Commissioners that the merging of the <br />Departments of Public Works, Community Development Services, and the <br />Airport affects the IT department’s procedures for giving county <br />employees access into certain networks. Due to a lack of guidelines on <br />the unprecedented event, the IT department was seeking instructions <br />from the Board on how to handle future inquiries. Chairman Wright <br />instructed the IT Directors to treat the merging departments as 1 <br />department and expressed his understanding of IT’s concerns.
