01/08/2024 MINUTES 3 <br />response from Jay Juhl or Bradley Esparza. <br /> <br />Reappointment of Pamela Tuggle Miles to the Kittitas County Law & <br />Justice Council for a 2 year term, effective 1/1/2024 and to expire <br />12/31/2025. <br /> <br />Reappointment of Samuel Garrett to the Kittitas County TV Dist., for <br />a 3 year term, effective 1/1/2024 and to expire 12/31/2026. <br /> <br />Reappointments of Pat Deneen & Joseph Pearson to the Kittitas County <br />Planning Commission for a 4 year term, effective 1/1/2024 and to <br />expire 12/31/2027. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve the 2024 requests for <br />reappointment as presented. Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion <br />carried 3-0. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT BOARD OF HEALTH – NAVARRE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve and appoint Linda Navarre to <br />the Kittitas County Board of Health as the new Community <br />Representative effective immediately and to end on 2/1/2025. <br />Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />REVIEW DEPARTMENT HEAD ASSIGNMENTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board reviewed the Departments and discussed reasons for what <br />made sense on which one would be assigned to each Commissioner for <br />2024. The 2024 Department Head assignments are as follows: Vice- <br />Chairman Laura Osiadacz will oversee the Solid Waste/Maintenance; <br />I.T. and Human Resources. Commissioner Wright will oversee the KVEC; <br />Airport, & DPW/CDS. Chairman Wachsmith will oversee the Department <br />of Public Defense, Public Health & WSU Extension & Noxious Weed. <br /> <br />REVIEW COMMISSIONER COMMITTEE’S COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Continued to 1/16/2024 Office Admin Meeting (Special) at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />CERTIFICATE EDNA ALLPHIN – RETIREMENT COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve and authorize Board signature <br />on a Certificate of Appreciation to Edna Allphin for dedicated <br />service and commitment to the Citizens of Kittitas County from <br />6/2/1987 – 1/30/2002 and then from 6/21/2004 – 1/31/2024, as <br />presented. Commissioner Wright seconded.
