2023 Docket Enabling Ordinance December 19, 2023 <br />Page 155 <br /> <br /> <br />*The applicant shall coordinate with the County Engineer to determine the fees and cost <br />recovery method associated with weekend inspections or other work performed by Kittitas <br />County during weekend hours. <br /> <br />More restrictive hour of operation limitations related to SEPA or other permitting requirements <br />associated with agencies other than Kittitas County shall apply, and shall supersede these hours <br />of operation restrictions. Under some circumstances, hours of operation may be revised at the <br />discretion of the County Engineer or designee. <br /> <br />12.05.02.070 Inspection and Notification Requirements. <br />Control and inspection of construction on public infrastructure will be done by the Department <br />of Public Works. Work will be inspected to verify that it conforms to the approved plans, these <br />standards, and other referenced standards, specifications, and guidance. Unless otherwise <br />instructed by the County Engineer, construction events which require monitoring or inspection, <br />and the specific requirements for inspection and inspection request notice are identified below. <br />The Kittitas County Department of Public Works may be notified by phone at 509-962-7523, or <br />by email at the following address: publicworks@co.kittitas.wa.us. <br />A. Preconstruction Conference: <br />1. Required Notice: Three working days. <br />2. Specific Requirements: <br />i. Conference must precede the beginning of construction and include <br />attendance by the applicant or applicant’s designee, contractor, design <br />engineer, utilities and other parties affected. <br />ii. All plan approvals and permits must be final and in place prior to the <br />conference. <br /> <br />B. Clearing and Temporary Erosion/Sedimentation Control: <br />1. Required Notice: Two working day notice prior to initial site work involving <br />drainage and installation of temporary water retention, detention and siltation <br />control. <br />2. Inspection Details: To verify that temporary sedimentation and erosion control <br />has been installed in accordance with approved plans and these standards.
