Here are some things you can do to reduce your flood risk: <br />Contdct the Flood Control Zone District for information about the extent of past flooding in your area. <br />Department staff can share more information about the causes of repetitive flooding within your area, what <br />the County is doing about it, and what would be an appropriate flood protection level. Our staff can visit your <br />property to discuss flood protection alternatives. <br />Easton Reach Flood Hazard Assessment Completed <br />ln 2023 Kittitas County completed a flood hazard assessment along an 11-mile Yakima River <br />reach starting at the Easton Diversion Dam down to the l-90 river crossing. The goal of this <br />assessment was to better understand, communicate about, and plan for these hazards.
