BAKER'S ACRES PETITION REQUEST <br />Mark Cook briefed the Board of County commissioners on a request <br />received by community members to install a gate at the intersection <br />of Bakers/Winston Roads to limit contractor traffic servicing <br />Suncadia. The Board approves of this action and directs staff to <br />reach out to the quarry property owner, Fire District and Suncadia <br />and proceed. <br />INTERSTATE 90 BRIDGE REPAIR UPDATE <br />Mark Cook briefed the Board of County Commissioners on WSDOT's repair <br />of the Vantage Bridge and anticipated 3-4 years of construction. <br />Staff have begun working with WSDOT to address emergency response, a <br />mutual aid agreement, and the overall local impact due to <br />construction closures of the bridge. Mark Cook stated he and Josh <br />Fredrickson will be participating in a tabletop exercise with the <br />agency and return with their findings. <br />OTHER BUSINESS- BOWER'S FIELD OLD PALLET MILL SITE <br />Mark Cook gave an update to the Board of County Commissioners on the <br />Road Crew's clean-up at the Pallet Mill Site and stated they have <br />removed 110 loads of debris. Staff will be updating the Board on <br />costs incurred with this project in a few weeks. <br />At 2:09PM the Board of County Commissioners announced they would <br />recess into Executive Session for 20 minutes with Mark Cook and <br />Stephanie Hartung per RCW 42.30.110 (1) (c) To consider the minimum <br />price at which real estate will be offered for sale or lease when <br />public knowledge regarding such consideration would cause a <br />likelihood of decreased price. However, final action selling or <br />leasing public property shall be taken in a meeting open to the <br />public. Action anticipated. <br />At 2:29PM the Board of County Commissioners reconvened out of <br />Executive Session with direction to continue negotiations on both <br />potential acquisitions discussed. <br />Meeting concluded at 2:30 PM <br />2023-10-09 MINUTES <br />
