Howeven, in <br />those instances whene the uniforms funnished ane made of ""wash and wean"" <br />matenials, may be noutinely washed and dnied with other personal ganmentsr and donot requine any special treatment such as dny cleaning, daily washing, on commerciaL <br />laundering in order to meet the cleanliness or appearance standards set by the termsof the Government contnact, by the contnacton, by law, on by the natune of the wonk, <br />there is no requirement that employees be reimbursed for uniform maintenance costs. <br />** SERVICE CONTRACT ACT DIRECTORY OF OCCUPATIONS ** <br />The duties of employees under job titles listed are those descnibed in the <br />""Senvice Contract Act Dinectony of Occupations"", Fifth Edition (Revision 1), <br />dated Septemben 2015, unl"ess othenwise indicated. <br />x* REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATI0N OF ADDITIONAL CLASSIFICATION AND WAGE RATE, Standard <br />Farn t444 (SF-t+44; x* <br />Confonmance Pnocess <br />The contracting officen shall requine that any class of senvice employee which is <br />not listed henein and which is to be employed under the contract (i.e., the wonk to <br />be performed is not penformed by any classification listed in the wage <br />detenmination), be classified by the contracton so as to pnovide a neasonable <br />nelationship (i.e., appnopniate level of skil1 companison) between such unlisted <br />classifications and the classifications listed in the wage detenmination (See 29 CFR4.6(b,(2)(i)). Such conforming pnocedures sha]l be initiated by the contnactor <br />pnior to the perfonmance of contnact work by such unlisted class(es) of employees <br />(see 29 cFR 4.6(b)(2)(ii)). The wage and Houn Division shall make a final <br />determination of conformed classification, wage rate, and/or fninge benefits whichshall be paid to all employees penforming in the classification fnom the finst dayof work on which contract work is performed by them in the classification. Failuneto pay such unlisted employees the compensation agreed upon by the interestedparties andlor fully detenmined by the Wage and Hour Division retroactive to the <br />date such class of employees commenced contract work shall be a violation of the Act <br />and this contnact. (See 29 CFR 4.6(b)(Z)(v)). When multiple wage detenminations ane <br />included in a contract, a separate sF-L444 should be prepaned for each wage <br />determination to which a class(es) is to be confonmed. <br />The process for prepaning a confonmance nequest is as follows: <br />r.) When pnepaning the bid, the contnactor identifies the need for a confonmed <br />occupation(s) and computes a proposed nate(s). <br />2) Aften contnact awand, the contnactor prepanes a wnitten repont listing in orden <br />the proposed classification titte(s), a Federal grade equivalency (FCE) for each <br />pnoposed classification(s), job description(s), and rationale for proposed wage <br />nate(s), including information reganding the agreement or disagneement of the <br />authonized nepnesentative of the employees involved, or where there is no authorized <br />nepresentative, the employees themselves. This repont should be submitted to the <br />contracting officer no later than 30 days after such unlisted class(es) of employees <br />performs any contract wonk. <br />3) The contnacting officen reviews the pnoposed action and promptly submits a reportof the action, togethen with the agency's necommendations and pertinent <br />information including the position of the contracton and the employees, to the U.S. <br />Depantment of Labon, Wage and Hour Division, for review (See 29 CFR 4.6(b)(2)(ii)). <br />4) Within 30 days of neceipt, the Wage and Houn Division appnoves, modifies, on <br />disappnoves the action via transmittal to the agency contracting officer, ornotifies the contracting officen that additional time will be nequined to process <br />the request.
