KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM August 28, 2023 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright, Vice Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith, and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br />Others: Josh Fredrickson, Rebecca Cruse, Public Works; Jessica <br />Miller, Community Development Services; Stephanie Hartung, <br />Prosecuting Attorney's Office; No members of the public. <br />At 1:30 PM Chairman Cory Wright opened the Public Works Study <br />Session. <br />No Citizen Comments. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS SIGNATURE ON AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE DESIGN <br />AND CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION SERVICES AS A CERTIFIED ACCEPTANCE <br />AGENCY FOR THE CITY OF CLE ELUM <br />Josh Fredrickson requested the Board of County Commissioners support <br />for Resolution 2023-114, an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Cle <br />Elum for Kittitas County Department of Public Works to provide <br />services as Certified Acceptance Agency for the City's anticipated <br />funding for downtown revitalization_ project. Vice Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith moved to approve Resolution 2023-114 and seconded by <br />Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br />VANTAGE HIGHWAY PAVING <br />Josh Fredrickson briefed the Board of County Commissioners on <br />proposed paving of Vantage Highway and stated that staff will be <br />working on a tight schedule with the requested funding for the <br />project. <br />WILSON CREEK ROAD SPEED STUDY <br />Josh Fredrickson briefed the Board of County Commissioners on a <br />request from a resident to increase speed from mile post 0.00 to mile <br />post 0.05 on Wilson Creek Road and presented the traffic data <br />collected. The Board of County Commissioners denied request for <br />public hear_ng to increase the speed. <br />CONSOR SCOPE OF WORK <br />Josh Fredrickson briefed the Board of County Commissioners on CONSOR, <br />the consultant selected for public outreach related to 2024 Road Fund <br />2023-8-28 MINUTES <br />
