parcels, under different ownership, are required to develop boat launch facilities at this <br />site. <br />WDFW is also proposing potential acquisition of a parcel location within the Manastash <br />basin, which is an inholding to public land and will improve public access to public <br />lands. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />The Old Church Camp Site was identified as a priority project in the Yakima River <br />Access Plan to provide safe boating access to the Yakima River. This site would provide <br />a safe alternative to boat launch that occurs at the WDFW Teanaway Junction (swift <br />currents and logjams create safety concerns) and at the SR-10 Teanaway River bridge <br />(extreme traffic hazards on SR-10 bridge and shoulders). <br />FISCAL IMPACTS: <br />None have been identified at this time.
