Research and Discovery: Visitor Surveys <br />What attracts visitors? What do they believe Ellensburg offers? <br />r Because of the makeup of the respondents, it wasn't surprising to see people said they came for <br />events. Nearly 37 percent visited for an event with an additional 17 percent calling out the rodeo <br />specifically. The top attractions beyond events were visiting friends and family, having a weekend <br />getaway and visiting CWU. <br />. When asked how much they agreed or disagreed that Ellensburg had good offerings in these areas, <br />respondents agreed the downtown, events and outdoor recreation were strong attractions.
