KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: July 24, 2023 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve the Resolution to Award 2023 <br />Remediation Work at the Upper Kittitas County <br />Maintenance Facility <br />BACKGROUND: The Department of Public Works solicited bids for <br />2023 Remediation Work at the Upper Kittitas <br />County Maintenance Facility in accordance with <br />RCW 39.04.155, Small Works Roster Contract <br />Procedures. Sealed Bids were opened on July 19, <br />2023, at 10:00 am. <br />One qualified bid was received for the prescribed <br />work. The lowest responsive bid was from <br />Interwest Construction, Inc. in the amount of <br />$329,520.00. <br />This project will repair and seal poly air barrier <br />throughout specific locations in the building, <br />adjustment of overhead doors and addition of <br />gaskets, along with repairs to the roof penetrations. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to Award 2023 <br />Remediation Work at the Upper Kittitas County <br />Maintenance Facility and authorize the County <br />Engineer to sign said contract documents. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson <br />County Engineer <br />
